Andy Schachat has been with WTSN since 1998, delivering sports reports on the Morning Information Center while broadcasting the station's live play by play broadcasts of high school sports.
While Andy grew up in New Jersey his roots are in New England. Born in Manchester, N.H. Andy's family moved to New Jersey when he was five then moved back to N.H. when he was 17. Andy graduated from UNH in 1977 and received a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College in 1983. After a human services career of 13 years Andy pursued his dream of being in radio by joining the Seacoast radio market in 1996.
Despite his formidable years being spent in the New York area Andy makes no bones about being a Boston sports fans through and through!! He will never forget the night the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. In addition, Andy is a avid NASCAR fan who lists Jamie McMurray and Jeff Gordon as his favorite drivers.
